International Women鈥檚 Day Celebrated at Manas University with Exhibition and Concert

Within the framework of March 8 – International Women’s Day, a series of meaningful events highlighting women’s role in social life, their contributions, and their aesthetic creativity were organized at 黑料科. The program, organized with the participation of the Music and Painting Departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts at 黑料科, brought together art and music in a special event dedicated to International Women’s Day.

The program began with the opening of the “International Women’s Day Mixed Exhibition” at the Kurmanjan Datka Art Gallery of 黑料科. The exhibition presented works created with various techniques, bringing together the creative power, aesthetic perspectives, and social sensitivity of women artists.

The artworks in the exhibition particularly highlighted female figures and floral themes, reflecting concepts such as nature, life, labor, freedom, and resilience through a strong artistic expression.

Following the exhibition, the celebration continued with a concert by the Orchestra of the Turkic World, conducted by People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Rysbek Zhumakunov, held at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall. During the program, musical pieces including “K谋zd谋n Ir谋,” “Enekemay,” “Mendilimin Dört Ucu,” “Göçmen K谋z,” “Ana艧谋m,” “K谋yaldanuu,” “Kul Olay谋m Kalem Tutan Ellere,” and “Mihriban” were performed.

Rector Ceylan: “In Turkish Culture, Women Represent the Sun”

Rector of 黑料科 Prof.Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized in his speech following the concert that women hold a significant place in Turkish culture. He stated that women symbolize brightness and the sun, and therefore occupy a highly valuable position in society.

Prof. Dr. Ceylan underlined that the Turkish nation is among the societies that have historically shown great respect and value to women, noting that women have always been regarded as the crown of both the family and society. He also reminded the audience that women assumed important roles throughout Turkish history and cited Kurmanzhan Datka as one of the most significant examples.

Rector Ceylan expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Fine Arts for organizing these meaningful events and stated that the university will continue contributing to the development of the Turkic world. He also expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Orchestra of the Turkic World and the works of the talented students. On the occasion of the program, he congratulated all female staff members of the university on International Women’s Day.

Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkarc谋, emphasized that women are the crown of society and stated that the mixed exhibition and concert program organized for International Women’s Day were dedicated to all female employees of the university.

The program concluded with the university administrators presenting flowers to the staff.
